What to Expect
Join Sue as she introduces you to the theraputic craft of Batik.
Batik is the art of using wax to create dots, lines and patterns on fabric and then dying the fabric with colours to create uniquely beautiful pieces. The fabric can be worn or displayed as art.
Sue will introduce you to the different materials you'll be using to create your unique pieces of Batik art. Sue will then take you through the process of preparing your wax and dyes before guiding you through the wax application process. Finally you'll be guided through the dying of the fabric. The techniques are easy to follow and create very cool results.
The workshop is designed for you to create along with Sue and you'll be able to ask questions throughout the session.
